Cookie Policy
The complete inventory of what is stored on your device on causfy.com, on the causes portal and on causfy.app, and how to change it.
In short
We use very few cookies, and those that require your permission are not loaded until you give it.
On the website and on the causes portal there is a banner. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, nothing is pre-ticked and you can change your mind from the footer of any page.
Analytics (Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics) is only activated if you accept it. The marketing pixels that a creator adds to their cause, too, and you are asked about them separately.
The causfy.app app does not use analytics or marketing: only what is necessary for it to work.
YouTube videos load nothing until you press play.
What it applies to
1.1. This Policy applies to causfy.com, including the causes portal at causfy.com/causas, and to causfy.app.
1.2. Each site uses only what appears in its inventory. There is no shared session between the website and the app.
What we call cookies
2.1. We call cookies both cookies in the strict sense and the other means of storing and retrieving data on your device, such as the browser’s local storage and session storage. All receive the same treatment.
2.2. The inventory is complete with respect to what is in use at any given time.
The three categories
3.1. Necessary. They make the service work, keep your session if you have signed in to your Account and store a choice of yours, such as the language or the appearance. They do not require consent.
3.2. Analytics. It allows us to know, in aggregate, how the site is used. It requires your prior consent. Without it, its code is not added to the page.
3.3. Marketing. These are the measurement pixels that the Creator of a cause adds to its page (Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok). They are theirs, not Causfy’s. They require your prior consent, which is requested separately from the previous one.
How we ask for your consent
4.1. What is necessary is used without asking for consent.
4.2. Analytics and marketing are only loaded if you accept them beforehand. Until you do, their code does not run.
4.3. Consent is requested by category, and only for those that the page you are visiting actually uses: if a cause carries no pixels, you are not asked about marketing.
4.4. There are no pre-ticked boxes, and rejecting costs the same as accepting: two identical buttons, side by side.
4.5. You can withdraw or change your decision at any time from the link in the page footer, with the same number of steps it took you to give it.
4.6. If we add something new that requires consent, we will ask for it and add it to the inventory before activating it.
The inventory
5.1. The website, causfy.com. Fonts are served from the domain itself. The only external resources are those in point 5.4, and their code is not added to the page until you accept analytics. No marketing is used.

5.3. The app, causfy.app. It uses only technical storage, what is necessary to keep your session and your preferences; it uses no analytics or marketing, and for that reason it has no banner.

5.5. Third parties necessary for certain features. They only come into play when you use the feature they serve, because without them it cannot be provided. Their processing is governed by their owners’ policies.

5.6. The Creator’s measurement pixels. The Creator of a cause may add their own measurement tools to its page. These are admitted:

Those tools are not Causfy’s. Their controller is the Creator, who decides what to use them for and is answerable for that processing. Causfy does not control the campaigns the Creator runs with that data or what the Creator or the owners of the tools do with it afterwards.
They appear only on causfy.com/causas, and only on the page of the cause that added them. The other pages of the portal do not use them, and for that reason you are not asked about this category when there are none.
They are loaded only if you accept it, separately from Causfy’s analytics. Before asking you, you are warned that accepting allows those tools to know that you have visited that cause’s page. The warning is the same on every cause that carries them.
Changing your decision and deleting what is stored
6.1. On the causes portal you can change or withdraw your decision at any time from the link in the footer of every page.
6.2. On the website, causfy.com, too, from the link in the footer. In the app no consent is requested because it uses nothing that requires it.
6.3. You can delete what is stored at any time from your browser settings. You will lose the saved preferences and some features may stop working properly.
Changes
7.1. This Policy may change. The date of the last review is in the header.
7.2. If the change affects something that requires consent, we will ask you again.
