Scope
1.1. This Policy applies to the domains causfy.com, causfy.org and causfy.app.
1.2. Each domain uses only the devices listed in the inventory. There is no shared session between them.
What this covers
2.1. For the purposes of this Policy, “cookies” means both cookies proper and any other device for storing and retrieving data on the User’s equipment, including the browser’s local storage and session storage. All of them are treated the same way.
2.2. The inventory is complete as regards what is in use at any given time.
Categories
3.1. Necessary. They allow the service to work, keep the session of someone signed in to their Account, and store a choice made by the User, such as language or appearance. They require no consent.
3.2. Analytics. They allow us to understand in aggregate how the site is used. They require the User’s prior consent. Without it, their code is not added to the page.
3.3. Marketing. They measure how a Cause is spreading. They belong to the Cause Creator, not to Causfy. They require the User’s prior consent, obtained separately from the above.
Consent
4.1. Necessary devices are used without consent.
4.2. Analytics and marketing devices are loaded only if the User accepts them beforehand. Until then, their code is not executed.
4.3. Consent is obtained by category, and only for the categories the page actually uses.
4.4. Consent may be withdrawn or changed at any time, and doing so will take no more steps than giving it did.
4.5. Where new devices subject to consent are added, consent will be obtained and they will be added to the inventory before being activated.
Inventory
5.1. causfy.com. This is the only device used. No external resource is loaded: the fonts are served from the domain itself. No analytics or marketing is used, and therefore no consent is sought.

5.4. Analytics used by Causfy. Its code is not added to the page until the User accepts the analytics category.

5.5. Third parties required for certain features. They come into play only when the User uses the feature they serve, because they are essential to providing it. Their processing is governed by their owners’ policies.

5.6. Measurement tools of the Cause Creator. The Creator may add their own measurement tools to their Cause page. Those allowed are as follows:

Those tools are not Causfy’s. Their owner is the Creator, who independently determines the purpose for which they are used and is answerable for that processing. Causfy does not control the advertising campaigns the Creator runs with that data, nor the use the Creator or the tool owners subsequently make of it.
They appear only on causfy.org, and only on the page of the Cause that has added them. The other pages of the portal do not use them, which is why this category is not asked about when there are none.
Loading them is conditional on the User’s prior consent, obtained separately from that relating to Causfy’s analytics. Before it is obtained, a notice explains that accepting it allows those tools to know that the page of that Cause has been visited. The notice is the same on every Cause that includes them.
Managing consent and storage
6.1. On causfy.org the User may change or withdraw their decision at any time from the link in the footer of every page.
6.2. On causfy.com and causfy.app no consent is sought, as no devices requiring it are used.
6.3. The User may delete the stored data at any time from their browser settings. Deletion means losing the preferences kept and may prevent the Services from working properly.
Changes
7.1. This Policy may be amended. The date of the last revision appears in the header.
7.2. Where a change affects devices subject to consent, consent will be sought again.
