Activism with verifiable electronic evidence.
On most platforms, a “signature” is just a record in an easily editable private database. At Causfy, every signature is supported by high-security encryption technology and immutable auditability, generating verifiable electronic evidence that can be used in legal proceedings.
Legal Notice on Electronic Signatures: The legal validity of an electronic signature depends on the specific case, jurisdiction, applicable requirements, and the type of signature used. Causfy’s infrastructure is designed to be compatible with the requirements of eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 for electronic signatures. The classification of a signature as Simple (SES), Advanced (AES), or Qualified (QES) under eIDAS depends on the specific process and providers used. Electronic evidence generated by Causfy may be used as verifiable electronic evidence subject to applicable legislation in each jurisdiction. Causfy does not warrant universal legal validity in all jurisdictions or for all use cases.

ESIGN & UETA
Compatible with US ESIGN and UETA frameworks
Causfy’s signature infrastructure is designed to be compatible with major electronic signature regulatory frameworks:
- eIDAS (EU): Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services — the primary reference framework for electronic signatures in the European Union. More info on Wikipedia.
- ESIGN Act (USA): Federal law enacted in 2000 regarding electronic signatures and contracts.
- UETA (USA): The Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, adopted by most US states.
- Other International Jurisdictions: The infrastructure is designed to be compatible with electronic signature frameworks in numerous additional jurisdictions (see the full table below). Compatibility does not guarantee legal validity in all use cases or jurisdictions.
Electronic Signature Infrastructure
Causfy’s infrastructure is designed to support Advanced Electronic Signature (AES) level features under eIDAS, offering a significantly higher level of security and evidential strength compared to a simple click.
Features of the Signature Process in Causfy:
- Unique Identification: The signer is linked to the signature unequivocally through OTP (One-Time Password) verification and technical metadata.
- Sole Control: The process is designed to ensure that only the user has access to the means of signing at the time of creation.
- Alteration Detection: Any subsequent change to the audit document invalidates the digital seal, guaranteeing integrity of the signed record.
- Non-Repudiation Support: The combination of a timestamping service ([Proveedor de firma/sellado — pendiente]) and Blockchain registration provides strong technical evidence of the authorship and timing of the signature. The legal non-repudiation effect depends on applicable law and the specific circumstances.
The 360° Verification Process
- Identity Validation (Multi-factor): The user must demonstrate control of their digital identity through a verified code sent to their device.
- Evidence of Intent: Explicit consent and the physical/digital act of signing are recorded.
- Audit Trail Generation: A detailed audit document is created, including the signer’s IP address, device User Agent, precise timestamp, and document hash.
- Timestamping and Blockchain Immutability: Signatures are issued with a timestamp through a timestamping service ([Proveedor de firma/sellado — pendiente]). Simultaneously, the document and audit hash are inscribed on the public blockchain. The combination generates verifiable electronic evidence that may be used as evidence in legal proceedings, subject to applicable law and jurisdiction.
