Activism with legal validity before institutions.
On most platforms, a “signature” is just a record in an easily editable private database. At Causfy, every signature is a verified legal act, backed by bank-grade encryption technology and immutable auditability that public and private institutions cannot ignore.
eIDAS Compliance
Compliant with Regulation (EU) 910/2014
ESIGN & UETA Compliance
Valid under US ESIGN and UETA laws
To guarantee international legal validity, Causfy adheres to the world’s strictest regulatory frameworks:
- eIDAS (EU): Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services. It is the gold standard in Europe, allowing electronic signatures to have the same legal value as handwritten ones across all 27 member states. More info on Wikipedia.
- ESIGN Act (USA): Federal law enacted in 2000 that ensures the validity of electronic signatures and contracts in interstate and foreign commerce.
- UETA (USA): The Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, adopted by nearly all US states, which gives electronic signatures the same legal status as traditional paper ones.
- Other International Jurisdictions: We comply with the legal frameworks of over 30 additional countries in Latin America, Eurasia, Africa, Asia, and Oceania (see the full table below).
Advanced Electronic Signature (AES)
Causfy does not use simple signatures. Our infrastructure implements the Advanced Electronic Signature standard, which offers a level of security and legal binding far superior to a simple click.
Signature Features in Causfy:
- Unique Identification: The signer is linked to the signature unequivocally through OTP (One-Time Password) verification and technical metadata.
- Sole Control: The process ensures that only the user has access to the means of signing at the time of creation.
- Alteration Detection: Any subsequent change to the audit document invalidates the digital seal, guaranteeing total integrity.
- Legal and Technical Non-Repudiation: The combination of a legally recognized TSA (Time Stamping Authority) and Blockchain registration ensures that the authorship and the exact moment of signing are contestable.
The 360° Verification Process
- Identity Validation (Multi-factor): The user must demonstrate control of their digital identity through a verified code sent to their device.
- Evidence of Intent: Explicit consent and the physical/digital act of signing are recorded.
- Audit Trail Generation: A detailed audit document is created, including the signer’s IP address, device User Agent, precise timestamp, and document hash.
- TSA Timestamping and Blockchain Immutability: We issue timestamped signatures through a Qualified TSA (Trusted Third Party) compliant with eIDAS. Simultaneously, the document and audit hash are inscribed on the public blockchain, ensuring the evidence is eternal and mathematically unalterable.
Radical Privacy: Zero-Knowledge Architecture
Unlike traditional signature collection platforms, Causfy does not trade your data.
- Post-Process Deletion: We do not store sensitive signer data in our databases permanently.
- Secure Delivery: The signature report is delivered directly to the cause creator along with the associated audit certificates.
- No Ads or Tracking: By not possessing your data, it is technically impossible for us to send you spam or sell your profile to advertisers.
